Where can you purchase a tufting needle?
What kind of glue do you use in your glue gun
Great solution! This idea will help me with my lumpy back cushion on my sofa chair! Thanks!
Where can I buy webbing?
Thank you for this video. I was able to fix my bench after a button fell off with a bent washer and Kevlar thread. Also thank you for your other slip knot video!
I'm reupholstering my favorite chair, and I'm at the point that I need to sew double welts. Thank you for your help!
your good upholstery work I like 👍 because I am also sofamaker upholsterer
Thanks. For the tips
What do I do if there are armrests with spindles? How do I apply the webbing ACROSS the chair?

Hi there. Do you find that type of van is good enough to transport most of the upholstery work? Or would you recommend a bigger one.
Is it better to use the faux horsehair instead of high density foam?
I’m not sure I understand what’s going on
😮😮😮
Would canvas work as well as burlap?
Thank you for this! I have an antique bench that is beautiful but the caning is all busted out and it's way too expensive to fix so I was just going to rip out the caning and cover it in canvas but I love this idea because it felt wrong to pull out all that caning.
thank you so much for the tutorial; may I ask how is the width of the gimp and if it should be the lighter or darker version of the fabric colour ? 3m per chair is enough?
You made this looks so easy, now I just need a sewing machine! I need to make arm caps for our leather sofa and arm chair to stop the cats from scratching them. Thanks for sharing this!
You are a very thorough teacher!
LOL
Thank you
Where is Part 2?
what do you do if the material is frayed?
Brilliant. Do you have a section to show how to do the inside arm?
I am a designer and for my masters project I've created a similarly wacky armchair. I had some reupholstery experience, but upholstering my own design is so difficult compared to what I've done before. Not a single professional wanted to touch that 😂 thanks for the video.
It would have been helpful if we could see how you are actually doing this. I’m just guessing right now.
If you could find a way to mount your camera above your shoulder, maybe from the ceiling, it would be great! A lot of details are missed between the camera being blocked and not being close enough. Great demonstration of how to use the strips. Thank you!
Thank you! I would love the start to finish upholstery video
Thank you!
THANK YOU 🙂
You highlighted all the mistakes I made with my first chair...but now I'll do better on the second, so thank you.
Thanks a lot. This is really helpful and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I am reupholstering the seat on a Gustavian daybed and I didn’t know what exactly to do next.
Thank you so much for this tutorial ! Cutting around the arms and legs has been my biggest challenge!!
Well done. You just saved my ottoman from the fire.
Thank you for the tips on applying the edge trim.
Hi. Thank you for making this video. I bought a 2.8 density 50 ILD foam sheet and putting some dacron around it- i find it super comfortable with very good support. Now i am considering doing my back cushions too and thinking whether I should do the 2.6 density 35 ILD foam sheet or something softer. Do people use such a firm back cushion?
your good upholstery work I like 👍 because I am also sofamaker upholsterer
To keep an audience "tuned in" it's better to skip a week but keep the same schedule. "Same bat time, same bat channnel"! Ha!
The last few jobs I've had were on site repairs, I've noticed that people are unwilling to spend money upgrading their furniture right now.
Oops, missed the show!
6:37 pm, I just learned about vinyl I just learned about vinyl upholstery I didn't realize I needed a special needle and thread will you be doing any classes on vinyl.
Can you use horse hair on a sofa cushion that you sit on. I have a sofabed and the foam in the cushion is SO uncomfortable !
Thank you all for another invaluable (and hilarious) show! With seemingly zero vocational training available, you guys are extremely important to this fantastic craft. Thank you 🧡🧡
Your good upholstery work I like 👍 because I am also sofamaker upholsterer
Master Upholstery tip, check for injuries so you don't bleed on the product!! Lol, great stuff!
Nice segment Kevin
I hope he tells what kind of stapler to buy and what size staples to use
THANK YOU! You are the best. You just saved me $1500.00 So helpful. Trefler's will forever have my business.
Thank you so very much. We had an older chair from my wife's grandfather that wasn't nice enough to pay for reupolstering but still usable. Without the button it wasn't usable for us. Your video taught me how to fix it and we will enjoy the chair for many more years!
